I write this from the Sanctuary of Time; my home, my place of solace.
New years bring new stories. From the start of a cycle, to its very end, words have traveled across the cosmos with many different messages. Tales of heroism, deception, friendship, tyranny, and love fill us with ideas and optimism; connecting us, edifying us.
Within the Book of Time, my grand codex of history and all things, I have seen the best of this universe, and I have seen the worst. I have spent my life, my existence, recording every aspect of history. From a flower blossoming on Kaasiar, to a meteor hitting a moon in the Faoder Sector; I have been a witness.
My message to you this New Year is to not look at what is to come with dreadful eyes but to be hopeful in what has been, to be free to continue as time wills it. For as long as I can remember, I have been burdened by the future, tainted with the power to do nothing. Visions have plagued me with terrible consequences, forcing me to be chained to a path that cannot be changed. To that, I say enough. I stood by as King Agatheio struggled to save his world, as the Itarians ravaged this universe. I stood by as The Hox Pirates consolidated the Subspace Underworld, forcing children to dwell in crimes that would lead to their deaths. I stood by as heroes emerged on Jargun-Ba, fighting for survival and freedom. I have stood by, watching, doing…nothing.
My transgressions cannot be forgiven, but they can be corrected. To the people of this universe, the war between Corrin and The All Father continues, but as with every war, this one too shall end.
Time Delivers What Can Be Done. Space Delivers What Must Be Done.
