Treph'os V, one of the largest trading star ships in the Mehdias JX7 system has been officially declared missing. The combined forces of the Black Palace and neighboring planets searched the cosmos hoping to recover the ship. Unfortunately, no vessel or any sign of it was ever discovered. Treph'os V, an integral trading ship, was thought to be lost forever until a groundbreaking discovery was made on the planet Myero.
A pro-data box was discovered on Myero, found in a scrap heap. It was confirmed that the pro-data box belonged to the missing Treph'os V. Top officials and researchers worked hastily to decode what was inside. It was discovered that the pro-data box contained star logs. Due to the security system in the box, it's uncertain how many star-logs are available. One of the logs was recovered and had a recording of the missing ship.
Are the discovered star-logs the key to finding out what actually happened to Trepho's V?
Here is what was revealed from the first star log, which can be accessed here for reference. The first star-log seems to be dated on the third day of the voyage. A man named Pinxo is the author of this first log. As the search continued for Treph'os V, a crew list was revealed in the Mehidas trading database. The crew list confirmed a crew of 240 members, including the captain. Pinxo was a match to a 'Pinxo Datkal', a deckhand on the crew list. Pinxo in his log goes on about his position and what he observed on the ship. One note of interest is that he noticed more workers than usual carrying blasters.
Since the discovery of this log, efforts to search again for Treph'os V have started. The Black Palace was requested for aid but only confirmed a few scout ships, a much smaller search force than the first time. Myero, Catovaz, and Scav once again united to search for the trading ship, this time using the star-logs as a source for clues. Pinxo Datkal was also researched thoroughly. Records show he was originally from Kaasiar, a lush forest planet local to the Mehdias JX7 system. Records show Pinxo had no children, no siblings, and unfortunately, his parents were deceased. Any related kin of Pinxo has not come out to the search authorities. A stark contrast to the thousands of families and friends of the missing crew desperately contacting the search authorities for any updates on their loved ones.
As the search was reignited, Myero reached another breakthrough. Research officials worked tirelessly after the first star-log was recovered. Since then, all research projects have been paused and those teams were assigned to the pro-data box project. Due to this large increase in manpower and brainpower, the pro-data box was worked on continuously with no downtime. Thankfully, the efforts did bear fruit... a second star-log was retrieved!
Researchers on Myero noted this star-log was damaged. With some words completely omitted. At first, it was thought this was intentional as a security feature. However, after forensic analytics, it was confirmed that the star-log sustained damage that corrupted the audio output.
