The Battle of Vor Ran'du, also known as Operation CINDER, was a major Black Palace attempt to subdue and arrest Corrin, son of The All Father. It was launched after intelligence was gathered that Corrin was located on the planet Vor Ran'du, sparking a mass mobilization of troops and Black Palace personnel. What was meant to be a seize-and-capture mission exploded into an all-out battle once Allegiance forces were made aware of the Black Palace's plans.
LEAD UP TO THE BATTLE
After the War for the Universe started, the Black Palace Fleet made it a mission to locate Allegiance air bases. The Allegiance had managed to hinder Black Palace's air superiority, both on-world and space travel, forcing Black Palace Pilots to engage in aerial combat it was not used to. The Fleet's leadership was prioritized to locate where the Allegiance ships were docking to refuel so that they could wipe out their ships in one swift attack. The Black Palace Admirals charged with locating the bases were:

Admiral Asai
Admiral Lung
Admiral Day-Yeun
LOCATING CORRIN
Locating Corrin proved difficult for the Black Palace after the War of the Universe started. Black Palace authorities initiated harsh punishments for anyone withholding information on his whereabouts, but many did not waver. Around the Zamox System, old companions of Corrin, members of Spearhead, were picked up by Admiral Asai. These companions had intel on Corrin's whereabouts, which Admiral Asai was easily able to snuff out.
The Overseeing Generals of the Black Palace Military held an emergency meeting with military leadership on how to proceed. Many protested the idea of amassing a large force to go after one man. Others applauded the notion, justifying it as a means to put an end to the war. Eventually, the consensus came down to sending more than half of the Black Palace military forces to Vor Ran'du to capture and arrest Corrin.
THE BATTLE
After the Black Palace was able to locate Corrin, more than half of the entire military was sent to Vor Ran'du to apprehend him. One of the largest and deadliest battles in the War for the Universe was sparked.
