The Halcyon Daze: Tales From The Event Horizon

Ladies, gentlemen, and non-gender-conforming peoples of the universe welcome to The Halcyon Daze! My name is Deno Wynn and I’m here to invite you to follow me as I scoot around the star systems and tell you what’s what.

This is kind of an introduction to me and my whole vibe. So, sit back, relax, and check this out. Now, we’re going to get this part out of the way first. I’m writing this under a fake name and won’t be talking much about where I’m from. Some of the things I’m going to be doing aren’t exactly on the All Father’s side of the law. The last thing I need is to end up in the Maw for breaking some roaking rule that don’t need to be in place at all. 

Here’s what I will tell you. I grew up in a little nowhere place that no one cares about except the Black Palace. I was leading a life like anyone else until I decided to sell everything I owned and scrounge every last BPU to do what I really want to do, which is travel the stars. 

Some of you might be thinking, “Deno, there’s easier ways to travel. You could join the Black Palace Military or maybe hook up with some pirates. Something like that. To that I say, no thank you. I’m not trying to get shipped off to a warzone or shot in the face on some derelict ship in the middle of space. I want to explore, not kill or be killed.

That doesn’t mean we aren’t going to go to some dangerous places. The universe isn’t always a safe place, but that doesn’t mean there’s not stuff worth seeing there. From the broken husk of Jargun-Ba to the acidic oceans of Di and all the way over to the super-scrapers of Myero, there’s lots of stuff to see and I’m going to tell the stories of those places.

All that to say, I’m real excited to be taking this journey. This is going to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I’m hoping you all come along for the ride. This is going to be a series that doesn’t stop until I’ve seen everything I want to see, or I break some kind of law and get put away. Even then, I’ll get someone to smuggle in some tech and I’ll post blogs about the food in the Maw or the best ways to avoid getting shanked. 

So, like and follow the journey to keep up to date on my latest travel stories. It’s going to be a roaking epic adventure.
