THE GREAT FAMINE

Since Pugart was naturally a desert planet, sustaining life was difficult. However, there were scattered plots of land that were fertile enough for the inhabitants of Pugart to flourish.

These plots became the planet's main farming hubs and distributed food throughout the world. But, unrestricted growth led to overpopulation. The farms were depleted for a season and the planet entered a period of great distress.

In 263 DTLS C1 (During The Long Sleep, Cycle 1) the Great Famine started. It lasted for 47 years. This famine killed most of the planet's population and it took a few cycles for Pugart to recover.

ITARIAN INVASION

In the 5th cycle, the Itarian Empire landed on Pugart. They were met with curiosity from the native Pugart peoples. The natives led the Itarians to their cities, hoping to see admiration from the blue-skinned, red-eyed foreigners. Instead, the Itarians used the naive nature of the Pugarts and laid waste to Pugart's capital city.

The ruling class in Pugart died in a wave of flames, sealing Pugart for the Itarians.

PUGART REBELS AGAINST THE BLACK PALACE

When The All Father woke up after The Long Sleep, Pugart was quickly added under the banner of The Black Palace. Strict occupation was implemented and the shadow of the Black Palace slowly began to bother many natives of Pugart.

The Pugarts eventually rebelled against their Black Palace governors for subsidizing the planet's resources to the elite. The rebellion didn't last long and was extinguished by The Shepard of Fire.
