TAELVUM

HISTORY

DESCRIPTION

Located in the Davos system, Taelvum had two moons. One of the bigger planets in the Davos system, Itarian scribes placed the formation of Taelvum between 420,000-110,000 BTLS (Before The Long Sleep)

Taelvum had beautiful oceans, captivating landscapes, and amazing plains full of gorgeous flowers. Everything on the surface of the planet was eye-catching and enchanting. This was the planet's way of drawing in its prey, living organisms.

The surface of Taelvum was extremely toxic and lethal. The oceans were acid to the point that they melted flesh on contact. Through Taelvums landscapes, the forests and deserts carried plants that constantly ejected poisonous gasses which would paralyze living organisms, leaving them to suffocate and die.

Luckily, the early inhabitants saved their race by taking advantage of Taelvums one redeeming quality, its floating rocks.

THE FLOATING CITIES OF TAELVUM

Around 40,000 BTLS, the early inhabitants of Taelvum made their up to the floating rocks. Taelvums gravity was much lower than the rest of the planets across the universe, allowing for gigantic, even mountain-sized, boulders to float amongst the clouds.

By 3,000 BTLS, almost all the floating rocks across Taelvum were filled with cities and people. The cities traded with each other and were connected by long extensive rope bridges. By the time the Itarians invaded, the floating cities of Taelvum were very intertwined. All the cities helped one another in times of need and the aspect of warring states was never an issue.

GROUND EXPEDITION

In 596,735 DTLS C6 (During The Long Sleep), the Itarians organized a ground expedition to the surface of Taelvum. In the first hour, an entire legion of Itarian soldiers was lost. By the second hour, Itarian Scribes called off the expedition. Nothing new was learned that the people of Taelvum hadn't already explained to the Itarians.

SKY PEOPLE

Legends of sky people living in the clouds above the floating cities emerged around the early 6th Cycle. Citizens of the floating cities reported seeing silhouettes of people in the clouds, flying around with wings on their backs. None of these rumors were ever collaborated or proven, but one case that all the cities speak about is the one of a little girl. A little girl fell off one of the floating cities, and instead of falling into the toxic abyss below, something saved her. Witnesses and leaders asked her what saw and all she could say was "flying man".
